Jack Richard Haylett, age 85, of Rudolph, formerly of Cygnet, passed away on Sunday (August 21, 2011) at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green. He was born on May 24, 1926 in Liberty Twp., Wood Co. to the late Edward Joseph & Myrna Ida (Boyer) Haylett. He married A. Colene Armitage and the later divorced. He married Ruth Eleanor Franklin and she passed away on August 9, 2011. Surviving is a son, Randy Michael (Patty) Haylett of Rudolph; daughter, Debra Jill (Doug) Nelson of Dunbridge; first wife Colene “Ardie” Whitman of Bowling Green; sister, Edna June Saller of Rudolph; step-daughters, Caroline (Jack) Bowsher of Cygnet, Nancy (Don) Snyder of Findlay, Kathy (Richard) Fairchild of Ottawa; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, second wife Ruth; daughters, Jackie Ann Bowerman and Gaye Lynn Calcamuggio. Jack retired as a self employed carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Cygnet and a 1944 Graduate of Liberty Twp. High School. Jack enjoyed horse trading and camping in Arizona, Texas and Florida after his retirement. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday (August 24, 2011) at Rudolph Cemetery in Rudolph, Ohio with Pastor Howard Mayne officiating. The family has asked for donations to go to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Arrangements are being handled by Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne.
